The Dark Daughters and Sons
"The Dark Daughters is an organization inside the House of Night. Only the most talented and gifted premier fledgling are chosen to be part of it. The most gifted fledgling is made the leader and is considered a High Priestess in training. The organization's symbol is the symbol of the Triple Goddess, two back-to-back moons against a full moon. The organization's leader wears a silver pendant of the symbol which is encrusted with garnets and is mentored by the school's High Priestess.
Their job is to hold school rituals and to organize school events. They are meant to be looked up to."

Prefects
Each species has one prefect. Prefects in Chicago's House of Night help organize school events, help students when needed, tour new third formers when the High Priestess in training is busy and help Estelle Josephine with whatever task she may give. Unlike most schools, prefects here have little authority over rules. While they may make sure rules are followed they have no authority over detention. Any serious rule breaking should be reported to a professor, but let's face it... the professors already know when rules are broken... prefects really don't need to do rule enforcing. Prefects has less authority than the Dark Daughters.
Prefects wear a small circular badge indicating their position.
