Personality:

Devyn is a friendly and determined guy who does whatever he sets his mind to. He's outgoing and likes to hang out with his friends. He is fairly even tempered. He has craving for blood but tries his best to keep them at bay. He's more aggressive then he used to be and a bit pushy at times. He will get pissed off if he doesn't get what he wants.

Being a red vampyre now he doesn't go out as much as he used to since the sun really bothers him now. Devyn is smart and loves to read though. He's good at expressing his words on paper as well even when he can't say them right face to face to someone. He's protective of those he holds close and dear to him and would do anything for them. He cares a lot about his student's well being as well and wants to see them succeed.

He maybe young about the same age as some of his students but don't let that fool you or make you think that he's not good enough to be your teacher. He is stronger and wiser then he looks. When teaching Devyn is tough but fair.

History:

Devyn was the seven child born to the Cavanaugh family. He was the only boy besides his father in a house full of girls but he didn't grace this world alone he was joined by his younger twin sister Dianna. Devyn and Dianna had a bond ever since they were practically born that no one could understand when one was in pain the other could somehow feel it as well somewhat like a ghost echo. When Devyn fell out of a tree when the two were young and broke his arm Dianna felt the pain of it though that pain subsided after a few minutes. the Cavanaugh family was a fairly religious Christan family who sent all of their children to a private catholic school. Devyn hated it and got into trouble constantly.

Despite his sister and him being so close and connected they couldn't be more different. Where Devyn loved hockey, Dianna liked figure skating. They were so different some wondered sometimes if they really were twins. But Devyn was fiercely protective of his sister.

Devyn was to the point of being expelled from school when he was marked as a blue fledgling by his tracker and mentor, Rick Knox. Rick wasn't like most trackers he skimmed over the whole speech that he was supposed to give Devyn about being chosen by Nyx. Devyn liked Rick the moment he met him. Rick told Devyn they had to go, besides Devyn knew that his highly religious parents would probably disown him . He quickly wrote up a letter to his sister and slipped it under her door for her to find later. Devyn had to wonder how his sister felt about the whole being marked thing because of his special bond but Rick had come during the night and Dianna was asleep so Devyn couldn't ask.

They traveled to the nearest House of Night. It was a long journey but Rick and Devyn got to know each other better during the trip and got to be friends. After dropping Devyn off at the school Rick stuck around to help Devyn adjust to his new life. Devyn missed his sisters especially Dianna very much but since he didn't feel pain other then his own he knew that Dianna was alright.

He was in his fifth former when he started to reject the change. He thought he was strong but as it turned out he wasn't but he couldn't let this happen he had to live so that he could become a vampyre and see his twin sister again. He missed her so much and hadn't seen her in so long. But he did die. But he was one of the lucky ones he came back reborn as a red vampyre fledgling. He was transferred to Chicago's House of Night since they were better equipped to handle a red fledgling. He and Rick traveled to Chicago where along the way he become a full-fledged red vampyre. He chose good over evil and got most of his humanity back, and rumor has it his twin sister attends there as well but not as a red fledgling.
