OKAY, WHY DON'T YOU TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR FABULOUS SELF?

Rowan stands fairly tall at five foot six. She doesn't have the skinny twig-like figure of models, nor does she have huge curves of bigger girls. Rowan is very proud of her perfectly normal place on the bmi scale. Rowan is definitely not an athletic girl, so she only has the soft look of the muscles she gets by carrying around the occasional huge book. Her slightly tan-toned skin is prone to sunburn if she stays out in the early afternoon sun too long. Rowan has a couple scars, though they are hardly noticable: one on her knee from learning to bike, and a couple on her hands and arms from various clumsy moments.
Rowan's hair is dark brown in color, and hangs down to mid-torso in loose curls. Her bangs are virtually non-existant as she grew them out a couple years ago, but some pieces of hair still hang by her ears, and get in her face. Her hair isn't super thick, thankfully, but it also isn't super fine. Rowan's hair is usually pretty manageable, so she usually wears her hair down. There are the rare occasions where her hair is unbearable or she feels like putting it up into a loose messy braid.
Rowan's eyes are round shaped and greenish-hazel in color. Her eyebrows don't appear to be strictly fussed with. While she doesn't have an unibrow, her eyebrows look natural and aren't plucked very thin. Her nose is "snub-shaped", small and subtly upturned. Rowan is also thin-lipped. Rowan, unfortunately, had braces put on her teeth when she was thirteen. When she turned 14, they were finally taken off, leaving her with straight teeth. Her teeth aren't "bleached" white, but they are still fairly white that she feels she doesn't need to have a teeth whitening session.
Rowan's style is falls into the "classic casual" category. You won't find her in a bright neon or pink color. Her wardrobe mostly includes greys, dark blues, blacks, whites, and purples. No matter the season, you will always find her in a jean-like material, whether in a pant style or short style. Her shirts are usually fairly conservative, never showing her belly or too much of her chest. She mostly wears striped or basic colors. During the winter months, she usually wears simple long-sleeved shirts or sweaters with a pair of jeans. She has been known to accessorize with cardigans, scarves and her favorite necklace: a simple pair of dog tags. Besides the dog tags, Rowan doesn't usually wear any other jewelry. For shoes, she wears a pair of flip flops in the summer months, and a pair of converse in the winter. Rowan doesn't have any tattoos or weird piercings, though her ear lobes are pierced once.
(( likes )) reading, chocolate, cats, the stables and the library, stargazing
(( dislikes )) stuck up people, liars, jerks, anyone who hurts her friends, rain/cloudy days, brussel sprouts
Rowan is, by definition, an introvert. She isn't the type of person to start up a conversation with a complete stranger or go to a huge party. She is more the lock herself in a library type girl. While Rowan may be shy, she is also very curious. She loves to learn about everything she can. That being said, she won't ask too many questions of someone unless she knows them fairly well. She is more apt to sit and watch, or research something then come right out and ask. Once you break through her shy exterior, she will do anything for you. Rowan is very protective and loyal to her friends.
Rowan is also very indecisive. If you ask her if she wants toast or cereal for breakfast, it will take her forever to decide. This makes her pretty sucky at any type of fighting technique where quick decision are essential. The only good thing about her indecisiveness is that she isn't one to make impulse decisions, like buying that new shirt (except maybe when it comes to books, her weakness). Her indecisiveness leads to her lack of self-confidence. She is constantly second guessing how she looks and what she is doing. She gets embarrassed and frustrated easily when it takes her a while to understand something.
INTERESTING. AND WHAT ABOUT YOUR FAMILY LIFE?
Rowan was born to Lucy and Robert Levitt on February 19th 1997 in Chicago. Lucy and Robert were the classic "high school" sweethearts that everyone thought would get married as soon as they graduated; however, during their junior year, Lucy moved with her family to Rock Island, Illinois when her father was offered a job. The couple tried to continue their relationship even though they were separated, but getting together became too difficult, and they eventually lost contact. After 10 years of not speaking to the other, they met by chance in a Chicago restaurant. Robert was a book shop owner in Chicago, and Lucy had gone to Law School and now realized her dream of being a lawyer. They immediately rekindled their love, married a year later. Lucy moved to Chicago, so Robert could keep his book shop, and opened a practice in the city. After five years of trying to have a child, Rowan was born.
Since both of her parents were well-established by the time she was born, she lived comfortably within the middle class. While her family wasn't rich, she had everything she needed and some things she wanted. Rowan's mother always kept her practice small so she could spend time with the family. Rowan attended the local public school, and was quite successful in every intellectual subject. It didn't hurt that she spent most of her life cooped up in her father's bookshop, caught in a world of books and study. She made a couple close friends, Aly and Danielle, and in her free time, helped her father in the bookshop on the bottom floor of her house.
Rowan's life was turned upside-down a couple weeks ago. She came down with a cold, which was slightly unusual due to the time of year, summer, and the fact Rowan hardly ever was sick. Feeling fairly miserable with a cough and headache, she decided to treat herself by going to the mall with a couple friends. Everything was going great, besides her cold. She had gotten herself a new pair of shorts, which she desperately needed, and was heading to a book shop in the mall, when he came up to her. "Night has chosen thee; thy death will be thy birth. Night calls to thee; harken to Her sweet voice. Your destiny awaits you at the House of Night" he said, pointed his finger at her forehead, and disappeared as quickly as he came.
Rowan doesn't remember much more about that night, seeming like a blur. Here are the things she did remember. Her friends ran from her, as did most of the surrounding people who saw the event of her Marking. Then, she was at home. Her parents panicked and started fussing over her. Then, she was being told that she needed to pack, now. Before she knew it, she was being led through the gates of the House of Night, her father and mother on each side of her, pushing her forward. Rowan has only been at the House of Night for a few weeks, and in that time, she hasn't really said much, still in shock. House of Night hasn't been in session since she got there.
SO NOW IT'S A LITTLE MORE PERSONAL!

ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE
((This is from an old role-play))
The hot sun beamed down on the young girl's face. Water lapped at her ankles. She turned over as she felt the cold water touched her feet. "Lucy... stop it," the half-asleep girl mumbled incoherently, thinking the water was her dog. The young girl groaned groggily as she heard someone in the distance yelling something. Reality quickly set in. Her hand clenched a handful of sand and her eyes shot open. "What the..." she mumbled. Quickly sitting up, the young girl looked around her. There was a bright, blue ocean that stretched for hundreds of miles out, a sandy beach, and a huge rainforest behind her. She quickly came to the realization that she was no longer on a nice cruise ship. She was on an island.
Memories of last night flooded into her mind. She had been on the ship's upper deck, laying on a pool chair, reading as usual. Then there was a large bang, and she could see flames and smoke coming from the ship. Everything and everyone was in panic mode. People flew out of the pool and ran off. It was chaos and then nothing. She couldn't remember anything else. A small frown of frustration spread across her face. Had the ship gone down? It must have. She was on an island. Did everyone die? or did they escape on life boat?
Alex! What if he wasn't alive? And Helena? What if she had been the only one to survive? A feeling of panic started to seep in. Her heart beat increased as she looked around quickly. More yelling jolted Gwen from her thoughts. Confused she looked over in the direction of the yelling. "Alex?" she mumbled, still in a confused state. A wave of relief hit her as she realized her brother was on the island with her. He was alive. At least she wasn't alone, though her brother wasn't her first choice. What did he say? Food? Others? Right. Leave it to her brother to only think of his stomach in a situation like this. But, what about Helena? Was she still alive? The thought of her best friend being dead was basically unbearable. No, I have to stay positive. If Alex survived, then Helena had to have survived. Gwen had to find her.
She looked back over at Alex, only to see him walking away from her. "Alex! Wait!" she yelled after him. "Don't leave me here alone!" She quickly scrambled up out of the sand and ran over to him. "Where are we going?" she asked him as she tried to catch her breath. She realized that she was exhausted. Now that she was coming out of panic mode, she looked around her. Her and Alex were alone, at least on this part of the island. Hopefully others had been washed up on other parts. The jungle was very dense and probably not the best idea to go in there. Their best bet of finding other survivors was to continue to walk around the outside of the island.
Gwen looked over at her brother. They had been walking in silence for a good five minutes. "Do you think others survived?" she quietly asked her brother. She tried not to show it, but Gwen was terrified. What if they never got back home? What if no one ever came looking for them and assumed everyone died in the sinking? Gwen tried to push those thoughts out of her mind and stay positive. Helena was alive. They were going to be rescued, go back home, and she would never set foot on a boat again.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
