Step, step, step, step. Kenny's soft foot steps could barely be heard. He had been trying to be as less noticeable as possible just in-case those kids from his vision were near by. The smarter thing to do would be to hide behind buildings or move with the shawdows, but no, he decided to look nonchalant and walk the side walk. A huff escaped his mouth... He never understood why Estelle didn't send out warriors for his visions.
The football field wasn't hard to get to. It had only been a couple miles away from the House of Night so he didn't bother driving. If the twins could get there in enough time they could possibly stop this group from beating up this poor human... and avoid him getting shot. He told Denny everything including the exact time the group would have shown up, 3:56 AM. His strategy was to get there fifteen minutes early to talk the teenager into leaving. If that didn't work Kenny would uncover his Mark to scare the kid away... And, if that didn't work, he would be lucky if the group would be scared of the Mark to run away. The very last thing he wanted to do was fight, but if it came to that he would.
With his good night vision he looked all around the football Field... not a soul. In then minutes the teenager would show up and within at least five minutes from their the group of five would. Sighing, he stood behind the bleachers... If only his twin would hurry up and get here.

Denny padded around the corner and humphed as he headed towards the football field. He was a little pissed that Kenny had interupted him in the middle of Kung Fu Panda but with the level of importance of the situation it was okay. Shoving his hands into his pants pockets he walked a little faster ignore his louder foot steps. Kenny had informed him that some kid was going to be attacked and he wanted to prevent it. Couldn't have picked a better time kid. Denny thought with a sniffle. The wind blew causing his brown curls to dance around his forehead under his hat.
Hearing the thunder of footsteps coming from across the street Denny looked up. Oh crap. A sickly feeling went through him as he took in the group of boys that went running past. How are we supposed to take them on? Cursing Denny picked up his pace and waited till they were far ahead of them to follow. Zipping his jacket he pulled up his hood and ran after them. This was going to be a long night...morning. Denny hoped Kenny had a plan because this was going to take a lot of will power.
Just as Denny neared the field the thought of just how strong his twin was. Any time Kenny saw something he'd rush to their side to try and help. Maybe Kenny isn't so conceited after all. His brothers figure appeared as he drew closer realzing that the group of boys were taking the long way. Falling in behind Kenny, Denny stopped and knelt hands on his knees. After a second he sighed and stood making a mental note to work out more. Actually it was going to the top of his list. "So twin, whats the plan?"

Kenny kept his eyes on the east side of the bleachers. The young teenager was supposed to be there in just a few mintues now. Where was Denny? A flick of anger ran through him. How could his twin be so slow? He sighed lightly cursing himself for not giving Denny the full story. He had only told him a kid was going to be attacked and that he, they, had to stop it. Maybe if he told all of it Denny would have already been there.
Kenny pryed his eyes from the spot they had been glued to when he heard running foot steps. Releif poured into him when he realized it was only his twin. "The plan... right. Before that I should tell you the rest of the story..." He gave his brother an apologitic look before he continued,
"After he's badly beaten the group leader shoots him. He dies. At the very end of my vision I saw the school Tracker come around the corner. He supposed to be become a fledgling." Kenny looked back to that same spot. Any mintue now he would be coming around that corner.
"The plan is to try and talk him into leaving the field. Avoid mentioning anything about a vision or the Tracker... Maybe try to get him to come with us and hang out at the park. I know that sounds lame but it's the best I've got. If that doesn't work we uncover our marks. It might scare him into leaving. The Tracker will be able to tell where he's gone to..."
He paused to look at his twin who had just been out of breath. "If he doesn't run, show that group our marks... and as a last resort, fight."
Denny had never seen Kenny fight before. He had always fought alone to save someone or with Hayley. Hayley was supposed to come with him on this vision but transferred to the Richmond House of Night yesterday. Denny had been the lucky one, not having to fight or get hurt. "Sound okay to you, twin?"

"The plan... right. Before that I should tell you the rest of the story..." Denny raised a brow, preparing himself mentally for his twins explanation. "After he's badly beaten the group leader shoots him. He dies. At the very end of my vision I saw the school Tracker come around the corner. He supposed to be become a fledgling." Denny let out a heavy sigh as the true weight of the situation fell on him. This would be a lot harder than he'd thought. Resting his fists on his waist the teen looked over at his twin and sighed, if only they'd brought a warrior with them.
The Tracker will be able to tell where he's gone to..." Finally getting a hold on his breathing Denny leaned against the bleachers ignoring the wind that blew past them. Silently looking around his twin Denny willed the teen to come to them hoping that they'd be able to convince him before the group of boys could get to him. Denny had always been there for his twin no matter what and he wasn't about to stop aiding him now. If he had to he'd fight and try and find a way to use his power to aid him.
"If he doesn't run, show that group our marks... and as a last resort, fight." Denny's eyes flickered back to Kenny as the word fight fell from his lips. Th"If he doesn't run, show that group our marks... and as a last resort, fight." That's when it occurred to him that he'd never actually fought at his brothers side. Seeing as how Denny rarely needed to fight he really hadn't paid attention in combat class and that was going to be a problem. "Sound okay to you, twin?" Denny fixed his hat a little and grinned, it was worth a shot. Maybe they'd come out on top and actually save this kid. But then again Hayley had usually assisted Kenny with things like this but she wasn't able to help due to the fact that she'd transferred. "Sounds okay to me."

Kenny nodded at Denny's okay. At least Kenny had come up with three ideas that didn't involve fighting. If only this would end nicely and smoothly like the rest, but he wasn't sure if that would be the case this time.
It wasn't long before Kenny saw a figure move onto the football field. It was the same guy from his vision which meant now was the time to act. Act quickly, and leave with his brother safely before anyone got hurt. "I'll keep an eye on him until he gets Marked though. I should ask Denny if he'll stay with me." He thought, taking a deep breath in.
"Alright, come on." With long strides he reached the coughing boy quickly. His coughs took on what looked like a cold, which confirmed Kenny's first assumption to be true. Every teenager got cold like symptoms before meeting up with a Tracker.
"Hey." kenny said, not really sure what to tell him. He had thought of a plan but not what to say...wonderful.
"Who are you two?"
"Kenny. This is my brother Denny. It's late, ya know. No one's supposed to be on school grounds." Kenny kept his tone of voice calm.
"So what? You two are here. I'm waiting for a couple of people."
"Oh, you mean that group. Denny we passed a group right? They said something about leaving to..." he paused not really sure where to have had them left to. Great.
"We finished sentences before why not know when most needed?" He thought looking over to Denny. He gave his brother a look that hopefully told him to pick up from there. He shoved his hands into his pockets, shifting his weight on one foot.
((I waited to reply because I didn't know if you would return, sorry! You're more than welcome to play the boy too if you want. We aren't god-modding.))

From the corner of his eye Denny saw a figure move onto the field and looked to his twin. A small grin came to his lips as he could imagine seeing the wheels and gears working away in Kenny’s mind. Well at least we have a plan –or three rather- there was no way this could go wrong. If this went out perfectly there would be no fighting and that was perfectly fine with him. Denny wasn’t the one for blood or broken bones, although he was sure Kenny could help with minor injuries he wasn’t hoping it would resort to that.
“Alright, come on.” following a short distance behind his brother. He was going to let Kenny take the wheel on this, besides he was the talkative one. Denny on the other hand doesn’t say much. He prefers to take on the outcome of the situations he and his brothers got into. He liked it that way. The sounds of coughing reached his sensitive ears and Denny immediately knew the kid was going to get marked.
“Hey.” Kenny said in what sounded like an even tone. Standing behind him Denny automatically knew his twin hadn’t thought of what he was going to say. Just wonderful… Grinning a little Denny prepared himself to mentally laugh at the other Hao kid.
“Who are you too?” the boy asked when his coughing subsided.
"Kenny. This is my brother Denny. It's late, ya know. No one's supposed to be on school grounds." Denny listened to the even tone of his brothers voice and looked around for the group of boys.
"So what? You two are here. I'm waiting for a couple of people.
"Oh, you mean that group. Denny we passed a group right? They said something about leaving to..." Denny looked back to his brother with raised brows. Is he expecting me to finish that? Figuring he was Denny thought of something that teens get in trouble for out here. “Uh yeah…” that sounds convincing. “The cops caught them harassing some clerk at the corner store. Freaked me out a little honestly.” He was proud of his lie. “Ohh well…”
“I suggest you get out of here before the cops let them go.” Folding his arms across his chest Denny wondered if he’d actually stick around. Crap! The Tracker. “But first why don’t you tell us why you were out here.” He noted the weird bass to his voice but shook the thought away.

Kenny mentally rolled his eyes at Denny. That sounded oh so convincing. At least his lie turned up better than it started. Still, the kid didn't seem to want to budge.
"I'm not telling you why." He eyed Denny. "And how do you know about them? Or that even that they're coming here? You two work for them or something?"
Great. This wasn't going to turn out well. "No, but we know they're looking for you and they have a gun. I saw it. We're trying to warn you to leave before you get shot or something." Kenny had no other choice but to say what he did. He couldn't think of another way to somewhat answer those questions.
"They were harassing the clerk... But before that they said something about coming here. They said they would use the gun. I suggest you leave now." Yes, there was an edge in Kenny's voice and yes it sounded threatening and a tad scary.
The tracker would have no trouble finding him, they never had trouble... at least the twins didn't need to worry about that.
"How about.... no. I suggest you two leave." Almost new fledgling must have no brains.
Plan B was next. He didn't feel like lying much more. He huffed a sigh and uncovered his mark. "Go."
Most humans got startled by the sight of marks. What would make this one any different? He sent a silent prayed to Nyx hoping the guy would run off.

Groaning Denny turned on his heel in a half circle and clawed at his face. Only this would happen to them! The scene of Kenny revealing his mark played over and before his eyes. They were shit out of luck so this was going to have to work. Giving a silent prayer to Nyx he followed his brother’s lead and revealed his own mark. Feeling the weirdness of being exposed Denneth held back the urge to pull his hat down over it. Out of all the things he and Kenneth had gotten into this had to be the worst. Denny had never ever shown a human his mark well except for his mentor and the rest of the humans at house of night.
Moving towards the boy Denny brushed past his twin and for a second he could hear his thoughts. He’d been wondering if the human would be afraid of their marks. Kneeling next to the boy Denny looked straight into his dark green eyes and frowned. Now there was no way possible he could see his own face but when he found his reflection in the boys jade pools he felt empowered. He looked the part of a menacing vampyre fledgling.
Feeling the fear radiate off of the human Denny hissed. “We’re doing this for your own good.” He said cocking his head a little. “You can stay here and risk dying or you can leave right now and live another day.”
“Look man I don’t want any trouble-” the boy began but Denny cut him off. “Well there’s going to be trouble. You can leave now or I’ll let Kenny here remove you himself.” Standing Denny groaned inwardly as his knees popped silently. Looking to his brother Denny hoped he had something to follow up.

Kenny watched his brother brush past him and to the soon to be fledgling. He knew he was going to try to read his thoughts. It was a good idea. It wouldn't surprise him if he had done it to see if the kid was scared. Sometimes he wondered why Nyx gave him that gift.... It was useful, sure, but a burden at the same time. The twins ended up with gifts that could be burdens. Why? He shook off the thoughts.
By Denny's next actions and words he knew Big'N'Buff here was scared, even if only a little. Were Kenny was standing he could barely feel fear... Vampyres were more prone to feeling emotions or at least the concept of other emotions. He trusted his twin though, as always, and followed his lead.
"You got until I count to three to leave." Kenny used his best intimidating voice possible. Maybe it was a little too much because the kid didn't budge just stared.
Footsteps... Oh no. Kenny used his better sense of hearing to catch what he was fearing the most. Four or five pair of feet were heading this direction. They weren't too far away. "I didn't miscalcuate! I couldn't have... Unless we've been here longer than I thought."
He mentally cursed himself then turned his attention back to the boy infront of Denny. "One." He took a step closer.
"Two." He took another step.
"RUN DAMMNIT!" He cursed in his mind. The footsteps were getting louder which only made his heart start racing.
Nyx wouldn't let any of the three of them die... She wouldn't. That's why Kenny was sent here; to save this kid, but what if it meant loosing his twin. Sudden fear erupted from him making it hard to keep his intimidating facial expression. "Calm down..." he thought trying to force himself into a calm state of mind.

[/img] [/center] As he listened to his brother count down the sound of feet hitting the pavement reached his ears. That was so not good. They'd be here anuy second. Looking around he wondered where in the hell the tracker was. Feeling his brothers emotions Denny confirmed that this was going bad fast. Out the corner of his eye he saw one of the boys from earlier step in the park. Denny pulled his hat down so that the beak covered his eyes. He rolled his neck preparing himself for the fight that was inevitable. He exchanged a look with the soon to be fledling that looked as if he'd faint any minute. "You see?" Denny hissed at him. "This could have been avoided but no." Anger coursed through him as the boys drew closer screaming and cursing. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Kenny glared at him before doing as Denny did. He pulled down the bill of his hat to at least shade his mark. Now was the perfect time to calm himself down, and that's exactly what he did. He calmed down enough to handle the situation with poise and awareness. Denny wasn't used to this kinda of thing, and not that he wouldn't be any help, but Kenny figured he would be the one calling the next shot. He was some sort of leader in this rescue mission.
"Where's my money." The leader of the group spoke. He and his group members completely ignored the twins.
"I don't have any money. I told you, I'm not the person you're look-"
"Do we have to go through this again?" The leader interrupted.
"I have the money." Kenny said not even knowing where that came from. Oh great, just what he needed... to get involved with whatever the hell this was.
The soon to be fledgling looked at Kenny oddly but didn't say anything; he didn't know what to say. Kenny wouldn't know either. Not after having someone threaten him, scare him, then call him his friend and try to help him out of trouble.
"Oh? I told you to keep this quiet!" He barked.
"He is. He told someone who's foreign. My brother and I, we're leaving back to London tomorrow. Our friend needed help so I offered."
Before Kenny could do anything the leader through his fist back and knocked the kid upside his head. "Should have kept your big mouth shut."
Kenny didn't budge. At least not yet. He didn't mean for him to get clobbered, but maybe they'll take his money and be on their way.
"I think we have business to attend. I don't know what they money is for. Nor do I care. I'm just here to give you the money. How much?"
"Please let it only be a couple hundred." he thought, holding his breath.
This wasn't one of the strategy's to begin with. He knew that, he just hoped Denny wouldn't mind.

Whoa! was all he could think when the leader basically went clobbering time on the kid. As much as he wanted to intervene he stood still and assessed the situation. Denny was not the one for fighting, he was more of a make love not war type. But watching this all go down made his hand itch. It was the urge to wail on someone.
His eyes widened as Kenny lied so easily to the leader and the boy did nothing. What if they did really expect them to have the amount of money they wanted. When Ken asked how much, he noted how the leader exchanged a smirk with another boy in his group. Studying there faces Denny noticed a girl and he frowned, he was okay with getting beat up but not by a girl.
"Ah so you got the money..."
[/i]the leader began raising his chin to Kenny. "20 grand right here right now. Pay up!" he shouted. Denny choked and coughed to catch his breath. That was not at all what he was expecting. "Im sorry did you say 20 grand?" he asked straightening up. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Kenny glanced at his brother then back to the leader. He would have choked too if it weren't for the fact he mentally prepared himself. Twenty grand was a pretty steep number. While the Hao's had a lot of money they didn't just have twenty grand to cough up. What were these kids thinking? He held his tongue back from asking the soon fledgling how he ended up in something like this.
"How about no and you leave. You have no place here or with him," he paused to point. "I don't have time to deal with kiddie bull shit."
"Fellas," The leader looked Kenny up and down. "Seems we have to do this the hard way." His group followed the leaders laughter.
"If you want it done the hard way, it's fine by me. But I suggest you and those," he barely lifted a finger, waving it at the others lazily. "Leave."
Kenny took his hat off and threw it to the side. "I really don't feel like dealing with humans." his voice calm, giving a fake sigh. "But if I must..."
The leader's eyes went large in shock at Kenny's mark. Three of the group members to off running leaving only the leader, a tall male, and the female.
"Look, just give me my money." The leader mustered out a sentence but it was shaky.
"I said no." simple enough.
A flash of anger flooded his face as he pulled the gun from his pocket.
"Try me, and see where you end up." Kenny threatened. He might be nervous, scared, and angry but he refused to show it. It would be showing weakness and weakness meant he could try and overpower.
The leader raised his gun slowly, pointing it straight at him.

Feeling sick to his stomach Denny watched as the leader pointed the gun at his twin. His eyes widened, this could not be happening. He was not going to shoot his twin, they didn't even have anything to do with this kid. Out the corner of his eye a figure moved, the girl had stepped into the shadows and now making her way to the side of his brother. It was when she too held out a piece of metal that seemed to be stained with blood from the delicious smell that reached him. With the other members gone it seemed like a semi -fair fight. In truth for a lack of a better word they were seriously fucked. All the twins had were their powers and the boy was probably weaponless.
"Try me, and see where you end up."
Kenny's words bounced around his head as he sighed removing his hat and throwing it to the side revealing the blue crescent outline on his forehead. Oh please Nyx I know I don't ask for much but i need a really big favor...help me protect my brother...you and i both no im not good at fighting.
"Hmmm I guess I'm gonna try ya"
Denny stood in disbelief as the leader pulled the trigger. Anger welled in him as he let out a loud hiss. Watching as blood stain his brothers shirt he felt the ground trembling beneath him. There was a crackling sound and crevice separated the leader from his brother. An electric current climbed up his legs and soon filled his entire being. It wasn't long before he realized what was happening.
"Holy shit." he smirked as looked over to his brother.

That didn't work out as planned, obviously. Before Kenny could react the leader pulled the trigger. The bullet went into the side of his chest toward his shoulder; where at least it missed his heart. Pain seized him so he could no longer stand. He fell limp, gripping the bullet wound. Gripping it didn't help the pain any but he didn't let go. He needed to slow down the bleeding before he ended up passing out over blood loss.
He was shocked, and in all honesty, felt like a total bad arse. The feeling had only been brief because anger, a lot over anger, spread through him like wild fire. He was so busy glaring at the leader he almost didn't see the ground split in-front of him.
"Holy shit."
Kenny looked up to see Denny smirking. He must have a new power.... Earth. Finally, something useful that could get these delinquents a hard earned lesson. If only it had come before he got shot.
"Before you throw a bloody party do you mind?" He tossed his free hand up, wincing at the pain from the sudden movement, toward the group. "I'm bleeding out here."
Wooziness come to him. The shock of getting shot and his sudden blood loss caught up to him quickly. He ripped his shirt off, ignoring the searing pain, to put pressure on it better. At least his shirt would soak up the blood.
"You get them.... And I'll.... I'll just lay here." he thought, thinking it was a good idea. Earth was powerful anyway, Denny didn't really need his help. His brother was smart which meant he'd learn how to use Earth quick. It wasn't like Kenny could get up now.
