Personality: Amethyst is the opposite of her sister who is the center of attention. While her sister is the star cheerleader and the one everyone wants to be. Hardly anyone even knows who Amethyst is. And if they do it's only because of who her sister is .Amethyst is a soft spoken person and is rather a bit shy. She tends to keep to herself. She enjoys spending her time alone with just her and her cat Jewel's. She is extremely talented with the flute as well as with singing. Music is her first love.

When it comes to making friends well lets just say Amethyst doesn't have an easy time. She never has, she's always been more of an outcast. Hovering about the edges of the circle instead of putting herself in the middle of it. But on the other hand Amethyst is always there when it matters the most. She is a loyal and honest friend to those she does befriend. She will always be there for them ready to help them when ever she can.

History: Amethyst was born to Linda and William Winter. She was their last born. Born four years after her sister Melissa. Even from a young age she felt like her mother and father didn't love her as much as they loved her sister. Her sister was the favorite one. They showered her sister with gifts all year round. When ever Amethyst asked for something her parents would either completely ignore her or yell at her for being selfish. Over time she learned not to ask for anything and to live with what she had.

When Amethyst was eight years old she joined the school band and took a note home saying she needed a flute. Her parents complained about it but eventually bought her one. Amethyst trained hard and did her best and soon mastered the flute. It had actually been fairly simple for her.

Things where looking up for the first time in a long time Amethyst was actually happy. And even though she knew her parents didn't love her and her sister was self centered and selfish she did the best she could to have a good life. She did everything she could to try and make her parents proud of her. But nothing ever worked. But things where about to change when she was fifteen.

One day Amethyst was walking the halls heading for band practice. She hadn't been feeling cold lately. She had been coughing and sneezing and her nose was running. She had a cold and she hated it. Just as she turned a corner there he was standing there in the middle of the hall waiting for her. It was a tracker. She became filled with fear and took a step back stumbling and falling to the ground. She stared up at the tracker her heart racing with fear as he began to speak. She knew what was happening. She had seen enough trackers and fledgling's found growing up in this school. When he finished speaking she felt a sharp pain in her forehead.

Once he finished he left, getting up Amethyst raced out of the school and ran home locking herself in her bedroom. Where she threw herself on her bed and cried. She had no idea what to do. How would her parents react when they found out she was a vampire fledgling?

How they reacted was horrible they shunned her and made her pack everything up and threw her out of the house and told her they never wanted to see her again. Amethyst packed everything that was important to her. Her flute, her favorite books and movies as well as her clothes. And of course her cat Jewel's. There was no way she was leaving her cat behind. Once she arrived to the school and learned she could change her name. She kept her first name but got rid of her middle name and gave herself a new last name.
