Simba's Personality:Simba is a hell raiser, he is best described as a Menace to the house of night society, he is often pouncing on people from out of nowhere usally jumping from above them, biting and scratching other fledglings too he is reckless around them although he is intimidated by the vampyres so he keeps away from them when he is up to no good. After Nicola arrived at the House of night he decided to make Nicola his pet and was instantly infatuated with him, not that he would admit it.
Simba is often stealing from the other cats, despite being a kitten he is a plucky and naughty creature he is often seen fleeing with a dead mouse or rat in it's mouth shortly before being chased by another cat. Simba & Nicola's dynamics is sort of all over the place Simba loves nicola, but at the same time he will bite and scratch nicola and then lick him, he often pounces nicola from out of no where and likes riding around on Nicola's shoulder. Simba will also steal food off of nicola's plate and pretty much treats Nicola like he is the pet rather than it being the other way around. the two are often arguing, but they love each other and Simba is just as protective of Nicola as nicola is of him. Simba often frowns and scowls at nicola too when being ignored. Simba may be a kitten, but this little ball of fluff is not to be underestemated.[THE TRUE YOU]

Personality: Despite looking like a nerd with his long hair and glasses Nick was bold and fearless he was confident in himself and always stood out. He didn’t care what anyone thought of him, he was loud and energetic and very mischievous he had a genius for pranks. But there was something else to him it was his heart when you came right down to it he had this way of making someone feel warm and safe he would be there for that person emotionally and he would always put that person’s needs before his own. Nick however was far from perfect he could also be very intimidating he has a very bad temper almost explosive when he is mad he throws things and gets very frightening.
Nick also has a very strong love for music and theater he wishes to become a star when he gets older, he is extremely talented and when he is feeling down he loves to sing , he spends a great deal of his time practicing in his music, when he gets into those ambitious moods watch out he can be a little extreme and overbearing.
Nick was also very secretive, he knew he was gay but did not tell anyone. He did so because his father is a minister with the people of faith and if he came out of the closet he was afraid of what his father would do to him. Nick would be quiet when his father spat out his homophobia, but someone else were to do it like a classmate or stranger nick would most likely lose it and become very offensive towards the person maybe even physically violent.
Despite this nick had this innocence about him, this purity and naivety about him, he is very trusting of those who treat him well and sometimes can’t see the difference between right and wrong, because he is too fixated on the person treating him nicely. Nick also likes perving on older guys something he couldn’t help he has a thing for bad boys becoming the typical mindless girl that would swoon for the guy. As a fledgling however nick has changed somewhat. He has become quiet and is very frightened and timid everything scares the crap out of him and he is afraid of becoming a vampyre, but he doesn’t want to die either.
He has become shy, and as withdrawn from his peers as possible, he is also relieved to be at the house of night, because he is finally free of his father’s tyranny, but he feels confliction and confusion for many reasons some of them is because he doesn’t want to become a monster, but he just wants to belong at the same time leaving nick to feel confused and irritated which is why is quiet. There are still sparks of the old nick in him, that will come out if the situation calls for it. Although he may be shy now it doesn’t mean he is a push over, he could surprise you with his strength and determination you just need to provoke him.

Powers: Light: Nick has the affinity for light he gained this ability from Nyx and was given this gift because of his heart, not his beating one, but his empathic one meaning as a human he was a kind person, he had this knack for lightening up tense situations and had this presence about him where they would be bathed in his warmth and light. That trait was taken with him when he was marked by a tracker
Nick’s affinity works by channeling nature through his body and he projects it in a powerful blast of light that manifest as a mix if white, purple and pink light of kinetic force. This can be used conclusively throwing streams, balls of light from his hands which explodes when it hits the ground or send the victim of this attack a great distance from their feet. The affinity is primary channeled through Nick’s hands, but when he is in great pain it will shoot out of his mark in streams of light or balls of light. Because Nick is new to being a fledgling he has basically no control over his ability, meaning he can’t always use it at will unless he has a trigger for anger or the desire to protect.
Nick’s ability is also connected to him on an emotional level, this means while he is calm his ability is weak, when he is mad his emotion is strong, the angrier he is the stronger his ability, when he is upset or frightened his abilities become unstable and difficult to control meaning they could activate on their own, a good warning sign for nick is that his hands glow white when he is about to loose control of his abilities Nick’s affinity may be light based, but it doesn’t cause him harm when he uses it, shame the same couldn’t be said for his victims as both blue & Red fledglings and vampires are sensitive to light.
Light speed vision: a secondary gift from nyx herself, this gift could also be called the eyes of insight, because Nicola has the affinity for light Nick has incredible clarity of perception allowing him to easily pick up on subtle details enabling him to read lip movements or mimic movements and track fast moving objects giving him some predictive capabilities and giving him time for his body reacts to it. What this means is Nicola can track and copy physical movements so if he was in a physical based combat he could see what his opponent is doing and if he wants to he could mirror copy his opponents fighting down to the exact detail or avoid it depending on his mood. This gives Nicola great potential to become a great warrior if he chooses that path. There is some limitations, in order for Nicola to mirror the moves of another’s physical combat he has to of course see them if his opponent is invisible or he is blind folded he cannot mirror the movements or see attacks coming.

History: Nicola wasn’t always known by this name his birth name was Jacob Jr Kurt Whitlock, He was born December 17th under a full moon, In Chicago. Jacob had an average life his mother used to be music a substitute teacher specializing in music and drama, before quitting to become a stay at home mom and his father was a minister of the church people of faith. Jacob’s life was pretty sheltered he would only leave house to go to school and school functions with adult supervision or shopping with his parents and to church, his mother taught him from an early in music learning about theater and singing which showed that Jacob was gifted in it. Jacob joined his church choir and even the school glee clubs because he loved singing so much and someday wanted to go on to become a star.
Jacob struggled with his father’s and churches belief particularly when it came to all the vampyre nonsense he grew up believing vampires were demons and should be hated and that their the spawn of the devil along with the gays. Jacob didn’t really like vampyres & fledgling he didn’t hate them like his church and parents, it was more he was afraid of them because he didn’t understand them. The problem with this is Jacob knew he was gay from the age of 11 he had figured it out, he kept it secret from his parents because he didn’t want them to hate him, and he was secretive about it at school too because most of his friends were from church and unlike him they were mindless drones
A few weeks after Jacob’s 15th birthday, Jacob found himself becoming very ill with the flu, but his parents allowed him to stay home while they went to work, one day while Jacob was resting in bed he heard the doorbell go off, when he made it to the door and opened it the first thing he remembered was being poked in the head and given some weird speech. Jacob slammed the door in the guys face and called him a weirdo and just went back to bed in pain. When he woke up he found his father standing over him with a cross.
Jacob was confused when his father started calling him a demon and abomination, when Jacob went to the mirror he discovered he was marked, at first Jacob’s father tried everything from a prayer circle to exorcism, but nothing work so Jacob’s father resorted to violently beating Jacob up so he could try and beat the demon out of Jacob. During the night when left alone Jacob packed his bag and went to the house of night hoping to find a cure, after learning there is none Jacob thought it would be best to come to the school not wanting to go back to his father, so Jacob badly beaten made his way to the house of night and passed out at the gates, when he awoken he found himself in the school infirmary.[THE PUPPETEER]
