Personality: Darrien is a very warm, loving person. His mood hangs by a threadm but even as such, he knows when to hold his tongue. When he gets angry, his eyes start to glow a bright red color, and his voice takes on a different tone.
As per usual, his emotions don't stay in balance all the time. His past has brought him to be wary of getting close to others, but has no problem meeting new people. He loves talking to people, but refrains from trying to get attached. Unfortunately, when there is a boy that 'fits his liking' he gets tongue tied, and ends up falling too quickly.
Likes: Hair, Music, Singing, Dancing, and Writing.
Dislikes: 'Angry' music, Rudeness, Reading, Mimics, and Religion.

Powers: Darrien's affinity is for Fire (Imagine that!). He also has the ability of the Touch of Absorbtion (much like Rogue from XMen), which only lasts for a short period of time, only about 2 hours. The only exception to this is after he has used the power multiple times he can call a few powers up when in need.
History: Darrien is new, again, to the vampyre scene, as about two months ago, he was killed as a blue vampyre fledgling three years ago during a ritual of the Dark Sons and Daughters at the St. Louis House of Night. About two months ago, Nyx blessed him back into life as a Red Fledgling.
Before Darrien was Marked, he was known as Derik Easton within the Des Moines, Iowa area. He grew up from birth until he turned 12 when his parents died in a fatal car crash due to black ice on the interstate. After his parents died, Derik was transferred to St. Louis to live with his godmother and godfather.
Two years after moving to St. Louis, Derik was Marked while shopping in the mall with some friends. Soon thereafter, his godparents disowned him due to them being a part of the People of the Faith church, and himself being a vampyre fledgling.
Five years went by with him studying at the St. Louis House of Night, and being a member of the Dark Sons and Daughters made it easier for him to be liked. His affinity for Fire caused him to be made part of their circle. Unfortunately, during a summoning ritual performed by Darrien and his fellow circle members, Darrien was killed by an unknown person during the ritual.
Two months ago, Darrien walked the Otherworld, confused as to how he went from being dead to being in the Otherworld. Nyx appeared before him and explained to him that he was being blessed by her with not only life again, but a powerful new gift unseen before him. He was to use this power to help others like him, and to lead them once he became a full vampyre, as a Red Vampyre Warrior.
Once Darrien had finally awoken, he tried to fit in with the St. Louis House of Night, but they would not accept him, nor cater to the new needs of a red fledgling. Darrien, having nowhere to go, then traveled by night to Chicago and thus joined the Chicago House of night.[THE PUPPETEER]
