Blonde waves swished around, cascading down Teagan's back as she walked around the campus, she wondered where Aphrodite was. It wasn't like they were close friends or anything, but It was rare that they both shared the element of Spirit. Personally, Tea found Aphrodite way too perfect, and that sometimes gave her the quivers. Good does not always equate to light, darkness can sometimes be purer, the words rang in Tea's head and she shuddered as a gust of wind blew around her.
Big blue eyes looked around, it was really quiet, "All on your lonesome" Tea whispered to herself. Truth was that inside she was really hurting, even after all these years she hadn't recovered from her history, she could never forgive herself for being such a coward. Just as she had given up on life, Nyx had seen something in her, so she wasn't a waste of space anyway, but if she would make the change ... who knew?
Tea forced a smile, she wanted someone to talk to, her whole body felt off today and she couldn't seem to place why. Her big blue globes blinked, it wasn't the nicest of days, it never was in Chicago, Tea chuckled to herself. Even a cat hadn't chosen her, even having a big fat, ginger tom around would be better company than this.
Before, she had never been so quiet, but then after her parents and brother where murdered, she became quiet and nobody knew the secret, Tea was too ashamed to explain the story to anyone.
Tea sighed, sometimes she wished Aphrodite would disappear magically into Nyx's perfect realm, she would fit in there, being so perfect and kind, loving and caring. Secretly, Tea would love to be the leader of The Dark Daughters, spending lonely nights outside under a treat with a candle, reading up on the rituals and memorizing the ways of the Daughters and Sons. It was a secret ambition and she was pretty sure nobody would think her capable of it, but oh she was capable of a lot of things that many people didn't know.

Lilly ran her slender fingers absent mindedly through her caramel colored hair admiring the red tips she had colored them out of boredom. She enjoyed the quiet cool night as she walked down the paths that ran in-between the buildings of the school. She didn’t mind that it was the perfect night, she just enjoyed being outside. There was a lot on her mind, she had just been marked as a werecat fledgling, deemed a freak by everyone she had ever known and had begged her parents to send her anywhere else so she may have a fresh start. Now here she was in the windy city of Chicago, where no one knew her, remembered her and she did indeed have the fresh start she was looking for. Now if only she knew someone here or at least had a friend. That would be a good start she decided.
Turning around the corner she continued walking down the stone pathway, occasionally admiring a tree, but mostly too deep in thought to notice anything else other than the stone beneath her shoes. Lilly was still adjusting to all the changes her body was going through, increase of speed and strength, increased senses. To tell the truth it scared her a little but thrilled her at the same time that she could now run faster and was stronger and more likely to be able to take care of herself and those she cares about, but there were down sides such as accidentally overhearing private conversations, which Lilly was not big on doing.
As she continued to walk she heard the sound of light footsteps and suddenly realized they were a lot nearer that she had first thought, raising her gaze just in time she realized she was about to accidentally run into a blue fledgling that she didn’t know, not that she knew anyone here at this school yet. Lilly had come up behind the fledgling and wasn’t sure if the girl had heard her, she stumbled as she sidestepped to avoid knocking the other girl over but in the process one of her books had fallen out of the satchel she had been wearing on her shoulder. How clumsy of her, she thought that werecats had good balance, maybe that didn’t come until later.
As she scrambled to pick up the book, she turned to the other girl her piercing green eyes seemed to shine with apology. “Sorry I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going,” she said softly.

As soon as the Werecat Fledgling dropped her books from her neat little satchel, Tea dropped to the floor with her, pushing her nearly white blonde hair behind her ears. She gathered some of the books and neatly stacked them, "Don't worry about it" Tea smiled softly standing back up again, holding out the books.
Two things would either happen when the Werecat Fledging took them, she would either brush her hand and make contact, flooding images of her history through Tea's mind, or she wouldn't. Tea didn't know what she preferred, so she just smiled, blinking her blue eyes, taking in the girl. Really, Tea didn't know what would happen because not many people made contact with her, she only preferred to touch people that she was close friends with. So her gift hadn't been used much before.
Her caramel hair and striking green eyes mixed well together along with the golden crescent on her forehead, she wondered if this girl had a Vampyre or Fledgling yet. Tea smiled once more, "Are you new here? I don't think i've seen you around here" she laughed, "Even if I do tend to stay away, out of the spotlight .. y'know, Aphrodite" her smiled wobbled. Damn, she thought, had to mention Aphrodite, now the girl would probably realize how much Aphrodite intimidated her, and she hadn't meant to do that, oh well.

Lilly smiled a warm friendly smile as the the Vampyre Fledgling offered her, her books. She gently took them her hand lightly brushing up against the other girl’s as she lifted the books from her hands and placed them in her satchel. If the contact was enough for her to see Lilly’s past she would have seen that she was a girl with loving parents and with many friends growing up until she decided to confront the school snob at which point she was considered a ‘dork’ and then when she was marked she became deemed a freak. After which she had insisted that she be sent elsewhere for a new start. .”Thanks.” Lilly smiled again, expressing her gratitude.
She examined the other girl for a moment, noticing her striking eyes and sapphire crescent. ”Yeah I am new here, I just moved here from New Mexico. I’m a third former. I believe that’s what that call the freshmen here?” Her tone was upbeat and friendly but seemed a tinge darker as she mentioned her previous home as it had bad memories linked to it. ”Sorry I don’t think I’ve met her yet so I’m not really sure who she is.” She flashed a shy smile, wondering if Aphrodite was one of those popular girls that everyone just assumed that everyone else knew or had at least heard of, but she had noted the other girl did seem intimidated by Aphrodite.
”I’m Lilly Cheyenne, but Lilly works just fine.” She laughed lightly, as she politely offered her hand, unaware of the other girl’s ability involving touch.

As Lilly brushed against Tea's hand, images flooded into her mind and she couldn't help but breath in softly and quickly. What she saw was a beautiful young girl bouncing around, playing with her father and giggling with her mother. As the caramel curls turned into long waves as she reached middle school, images of Lilly confronting the school bully dragged into her mind. But the hurt spread across Lilly's face suddenly as hurtful names were directed in her direction.
Then the contact finished and Tea breathed in a sharp breath, that was amazing. Tea nodded softly, forcing a soft wobbly smile "I'm Tea, well my name is Teagan, but no one calls me that" she said softly, "I er, Nyx has gifted with me with an affinity for Spirit, which is very rare" she looked at the floor briefly, Stop being a coward she told herself. Big blue globes looked at Lilly's hand, and she grasped it quickly, "Hi" she smiled before more images darted into her mind, images of a golden crescent outline forming on her soft face, the horror suddenly replaced with the reminder of starting a new life.
Tea let go of her hand, her forehead was tingling, she lifted her hand up to her crescent, what was happening? "Has something changed with my mark?" she asked softly "It's really tingling" she whispered.
