"Never in my life would I thought I'd see this." Kenny watched from the couch of his dads condo as his youngest brother put on a dress. They had been daring each other to do some really stupid things while they waited on Renato to get home from work. Pure boredom in the Hao family always made a strange outcome... this was one of them.
Ash had dressed himself in a pink frilly dress on Kenny's dare, walked past a couple condos, and bought him some ice-cream at a near-by shop. The moment Ash had walked through the door with a waffle cone he laughed so hard his sides hurt.
"What kind of ice-cream is that?" Kenny asked. His tone of voice high in amusement. "Cotton candy." Ash shrugged like it was nothing. "I wish I would have video taped you buying pink ice-cream in a pink dress. I guess I'm next." Kenny finally stopped laughing enough to prepare himself for what Ash might come up with. Next in line was Denny who had been snickering quietly beside his twin.
"I dare you to go out in your boxers and see how long it takes until the police catch you." Ash's voice was serious but Kenny had the most dumbfound look on his face. Denny's snicker then turned into hysterical laughter.
"Twin, don't say my name to the police if you're caught!" He heard Denny must through laughs. "You think I'd do that, twin?" Kenny asked innocently. The thought ran through his mind already which is probably why Denny had said something. "Alright, I won't but if I get caught I'm running. Ash never said anything about them having to arrest me. I suppose I deserve this dare."
He gave Ash a goofy smile. He knew Ash didn't to put on the dress much less go outside in it so his dare was fair... Fair as long as he didn't get arrested.
Kenny had left the house quickly so he wouldn't have second thoughts about it. He walked silently thanking the goddess vampyres were night beings. Not many people were out at this time. He didn't have to worry about too many people seeing him this way which was a plus... The down side would and could be people confronting him about it. It really wasn't the brightest idea to run around in unders in a busy city.
He looked around for something to do while he waited for the cops. Sure, he could just stay out for a bit and pretend to get caught, but what's the fun in that? His two brothers had been truthful to theirs it's only right he would be to his. He couldn't find anything, of course. Just roads, roads, and more roads.
He decided to climb a seven foot stoned wall and walk across that. The incorporate office shouldn't care too much. They weren't even there after all. Kenny jumped placing his hands on the top then hoisted himself up. "I'll just circle this thing until a cop comes. Shouldn't be too long... They like this area." He thought.

The night air was cool as the breeze drifted across her face. Logan had spent the day cleaning her room. It hadn’t occurred to her just how bad she had let it get while she was at school. That was until Zain had gotten on her about it. She loved Zain and Holly. Things had been perfect, or close to since she had been adopted by them. Granted when the change had happened to her, she lost all but one friend. Meisha, she had always stuck by Logan and Logan by her. A soft sigh escaped her lips as Logan thought about her friend. They were in so many different classes at school, it made seeing each other a lot hard. Maybe this year would be different.
Pulling her jacket closer to her body, Logan moved from the front porch of her house and down the street. Being stuck at home all day drove her crazy. Zain had okayed her to go out for a little bit as long as she kept her phone on and close to her at all times. She really loved him, even if he seemed a bit overprotective of her at times. Her faded black jeans had a comfy fit and the white tee she was wearing was loose and had a flowing fit. They were comfy clothes, just what she needed for this kind of night. A night of being free of worries, at least for a little bit. The full moon was coming and she would be shifting with it. Only another two years and her change would be complete. Her mind raced with the thoughts of what her tattoos would be of as she walked.
It was some minutes later that she pulled herself from her thoughts enough to look around. She had found her way into the business district of town. She hadn’t spent that much time around here but she was certain there was a park in the area. The thought of swinging in the dark made her smile as she looked around. There was a larger wall on her right that enclosed some corporate offices in their own little world and the street on her left. Out of the corner of her eye she thought she saw movement on the wall. Blinking she stopped and turned to take a closer look. Was that a person on the wall? It was dark so she couldn’t be sure, but the leopard’s night vision within her was telling her that there was defiantly a human outline up on the wall.

His steps were slow so he wouldn't make the mistake of falling. If injured, his body would heal quickly... only he really didn't want to fall off. He thought about it for a moment then realized it was a bad idea to jump on the wall to begin with... He wasn't the most stable person. A very clumsy fledgling on a tall wall with no soft grounding couldn't have a good outcome. His brain simply disregard the warnings as he made a mental note to be as careful as possible. It wasn't like there was anything to trip over. The ledge, even though thin, had a very flat surface.
"If I fall, I'll go find Estelle to heal me. I don't understand why you won't let me heal myself, Nyx. But I'm sure you have a good reason." He thought pursing his lips together. His powers were one of the few things he ever complained about. He had been working on that because both Aphrodite and his mentor told him he was a hero and needed to embrace his gifts. Nyx herself knew he was perfectly capable of handling what was given or the goddess would have never gifted him so greatly.
His feet stopped moving faster than his body register the sudden stop. Catching his balance quickly he looked around. He could have swore he heard something, if anything a cat. He took a step forward catching a motion light. It flashed on faster than he could squint. When his eyes adjusted he looked again to see a girl near him who went to the same school. He knew her by Logan, the daughter of Zain Carvator.
"You shouldn't sneak up on people." He smirked jokingly. "Logan, right?"
He almost forgot about being in only boxers and shoes. He held back a laugh so he could quickly explain what he was doing... hopefully without sounding like to much of a nut case. "My brothers dared me to come out in my boxers. Sorry about that." He gave another smirk, clearly not embarrassed by getting caught in 'under-things'. He decided to leave out them 'getting caught by police' part.

Blinking at the bright light that flashed on as the boy on top of the wall hit the motion sensor, Logan lifted her arm to block the light some as she looked up at him. Smiling softly she shook her head lightly. “I wasn’t sneaking up on anyone.” Her voice was soft but carried easily up to him. A light nod confirmed his question about her name. “Yea…and you are?” The light that was coming from behind him was more or less blinding her to any details. The most she could see was a darkened outline.
A blush rose in her cheeks as he spoke of the dare that his brothers had put him up to. She hadn’t been able to tell from where she was on the ground that he was only in boxers. With the blush making her warm, she quickly looked away from him, hoping the light wouldn’t give away her blush but sure that it would.
“So…umm…what are you doing up on that wall? Don’t you think it’s a bit risky to be up so high?” She knew that fledglings were agile, though not as quick as a werecat leopard like herself. He had to be a fledgling right? It would be the only explainable way for him to know her name.
A light breeze kicked up and caused her to shiver against the sudden coolness that came with it. She was normally warmer than most other people but sudden chills still got to her. “How long did they dare you to be out here?” she asked, trying to make light conversation. It wasn’t often that she really talked to anyone at school. Meisha was the only one in the school who really knew the kind of person she could be. Everyone else seemed to see her as a quite shy girl and she was just fine with that. It was hard enough being different from everyone else as a werecat. And being the first werecat fledgling didn’t make it any easier, not that that was a known fact around the school…or so she hoped.

He grinned down at her like a goof ball. He enjoyed the fact someone didn't know him; considering he was one of the louder people in Chicago's House of Night. After Aphrodite spread rumors about him being gay it was definitely a surprise she didn't know him. He liked that she didn't though. Gave him some leeway about how to carry this conversation.
"I'm Kenny." He introduced himself casually. He didn't feel like standing out anymore than he already was. Sure, he liked attention but not so much that he needed all eyes on him all the time. An eyebrow raised slowly seeing her turn away. It could be that she's uncomfortable seeing someone in only boxers. Added in the fact she didn't know him probably didn't help matters.
"I guess it's ricky." He shrugged taking a step back. The light was bothering the two of them... no motion no light. He didn't mind the dark. He could see easier than most during the night because he was a person of the night. As the tacker said, 'Night chose thee'.
"They dared me to come out until I got caught by the po-po." He laughed shaking his head. "I deserve it though... I dared my younger brother to dress in a pink dress and walk past some condos."
What a lovely first meeting this must be for Logan. She come up to someone who blinded her by a motion light that's in his boxers who dared his brother to dress in pink. He held back a laugh that best he could. Amusement shown in his face.
"Are you cold? I'd offer you a jacket but..." He smirked then continued. "Can't exactly do that now can I?"

She smiled softly at him. She was staying quite and putting off that ‘shy girl’ personality type. It wasn’t her, well at least not to people she was friends with. Zain and Holly had quickly learned that she could be quite the character at home. Kenny. The name was familiar and she was sure she had heard it at school, but she was still finding her place there, like all of the werecats. She had been the first werecat fledgling, had been for three years now, but was only just starting at the school. Luckily, Zain and Holly, the two main teachers for werecats, were her parents.
“Nice to meet you Kenny.” She cast him a quick glance so that she could try and make eye contact with him while speaking. But having him in just his boxers was off putting to her, not that she didn’t want to look. She did rather like the view, but it was still a bit odd for her for her first meeting. That and the light behind him was blinding her
A soft chuckled escaped her lips as he spoke in such a nonchalant tone of voice. It was good to see someone who was willing to take risks and have a little fun. It was something she liked, and something Zain hated. She let out a breathe she hadn’t realized she had been holding as he stepped back, allowing the light to turn off. Turning, she looked up at him with ease now. Like him, she could see well in the dark. She was a creature of the night after all.
“Sounds like a blast.” She spoke with a light tone of laughter to her voice. She was starting to like the sound of his family. Defiantly a seemingly fun loving group. “But what if the po-pop never come?” Or what if you find something else to do. She thought that last one quietly to herself. No need to get ahead of things.
Logan shook her head softly, making her bangs slip away from her face, revealing the golden crescent moon tattoo on her forehead. “Haha. No you can’t.” She could hear the smirking in his voice. “So are you going to stay up there the whole time and make me talk up at you? Or are you going to hop on down here to talk to me face to face?” She smirked a little herself. She could see herself becoming good friends with this guy if this was how he was, well if it was how he was a good bit of the time. If it was all the time, it would be a deal breaker for her. Some situations called for seriousness.

Kenny only grinned at the fledgling. She seemed shy but he knew better. After meeting so many people he could easily tell things people tried hiding. His father called it profiling. Something about FBI agents being good at. Renato had wanted him to become one only he knew he wouldn't be able to do it. Being born preemie had made him rather small in structure. Not that he couldn't gain muscle, he would just always be on the smaller side.
He watched her carefully with a smile on his face. The fact she didn't think of him crazy for what he was doing scored high on his mind. "If they didn't come then I'd go back, I guess. The police are usually heavy in this area." He gave a soft shrug. He rather didn't get caught out here but he was dared after all. If he went back without completing the dare they would dare him to do something else. After this dare, he really didn't want to know what was up next.
Kenny chuckled. He should hop down to talk to her face to face. Feeling like a giant wasn't on his 'to be' list anyway. "Face to face sounds much better." He shuffled his feet to the edge. He figured the safest route for him would be to bend his knees then catch the edge with his hands to drop down.
Weakness fell over him. "Oh..." He muttered as soon as his vision started fading. He wanted to tell her he had to go but the vision had already started. There was no way he could move out of sight. Now blinded, his body started loosing focus. His foot slipped over the edge. In attempt to move his foot back his other knee gave in causing him to fall forward. "No, don't fall on her stupid!" He thought lividly.
Of course it was his luck to tumble off the edge as soon as the vision poured into his mind.
