Aphrodite Yawned as she opened her eyes and saw it was only six pm on her alarm clock, she pouted and put her pillow over her head making a whimpering noise, she didn’t want to get out of bed, but she knew she had to school would start in two hours and Aphrodite promised herself and Nyx that she would go to the temple and pray to her beloved goddess. She yawned again and reluctantly climbed out of bed and stretched her arms. I wonder if Aries would like to come with me….probably not he would bite my head off for waking him up.[/i] She thought to herself, flipping her cd player on she could hear the legendary Dianna Young and her song go your own way playing.

Aphrodite adored Dianna young, a female vampyre singer who was world known and famous; she even attended this very house of night a few years ago. Dianna young was a legend and prodigy in Aphrodite’s eyes. The young high priestess in training went to the shower and undressed she could hear the new bell collar on Kenny apparently he was following her yet again. Turning the water on she turned to look at Kenny “Shoo….shoo Kenny…you know I find this awkward.” she spoke to the cat at the moment she instantly thought of Kenny Hao and frowned it was weird having someone even Kenny watching her shower especially Aphrodite splashed some water at Kenny and the cat scattered fast before running into the wall, the teenage high priestess in training face palmed and knew her cat was clumsy, but this clumsy really. She smiled and continued on to her shower after climbing out Aphrodite got dressed and placed her clothing in the basket and watched as shadow was on the bed next to a disgruntled Kenny “yeah you and Kenny could be twins your so a like…both perverts.” she spoke softly.

The blond teenager left her room and walked down the hall she could hear the jingling of Kenny’s bell on his collar the young lady thought she should get one for Kenny hao. Aphrodite giggled at that thought, at least this way it would give the girls notice when he was on the prowl. Walking towards the temple she folded her arms until she came to the temple doors and pushed it open, the air was slightly stale and the lights dim, Aphrodite looked around and saw a pair of girls making out, a part of her wanted to know why the heck they were up so early the other part found herself furious they were making out in nyx’s temple. “That does it…both of you OUT NOW! This is not a burlesque this is a temple to our goddess and I will not have either of you desecrating it by giving into primal passions…” she sounded mad the girls ran out and she stretched “Honestly” she spoke disapprovingly as she went to the storage room and pulled out a purple candle, going to the Alter Aphrodite lit the candle and fell to her knees. “Spirit come to me” she whispered softly and in an instant she felt inspired she smiled “Spirit…I ask that you carry my words and my emotions straight to the beloved nyx…Let her know how much I love her and worship her…how much she inspires me and touches my life…and how thankful I am for everything she has bestowed onto me…please Nyx if you can hear me…I ask you to watch over my brother Aries…keep him strong for when he makes the change…and watch over his heart...so no ho crushes it and be there for him when I can’t…thank you nyx…and thank you spirit…that is all…you may now depart my friend” she spoke softly. Aphrodite spent the next hour worshiping at the temple in silence when she finished she blew out her candle and left the temple she was feeling hungry.

She walked out of the temple and saw the two girls from before pushing a handsome guy around “stupid cat” she heard one of them spoke, Aphrodite made a fist with both of her hand they glowed green as it stretched around her body and Aphrodite spoke “Earth COME to me…raise that young man above the skanks…but make sure he doesn’t fall” she spoke sounding furious. The earth obeyed as the earth went over the werecat’s legs to keep him on the spot as the earth under him lifted to a pillar. “I will not have this at the house of night….i will not have disrespect in the temple of our beloved goddess Nyx and I sure as hell will not have any bullying I forbid it.” she spoke sounding very dominating. Aphrodite watched the girls and she glared at them they looked at her and were about to open her mouth “Earth you know what I want” she spoke and moments later the earth shook violently.

Out of fear the two girls ran off and Aphrodite watched until they were out of sight “Earth strong and wise I thank you for your assistance… I humbly ask that you return to the way you were before I called for you…afterwards you may depart” the earth did as it was told and returned to normal and lowered the guy down. Softly until it looked like nothing had ever happened. The high priestess in training walked to the young stranger and placed her hand over her heart showing him respect “Merry meet…I apologies for those two…harlots…are you alright sir.” she asked the fledgling respectfully.[/size]

Arcane turned over again in the bed and stared out the window. He’d been tossing and turning most of the night and the fact that he still was unable to sleep was pissing him off. The reoccurring dreams of his uncle’s death rang loud and clear in his mind; from the moment his eyes closed, the oncoming truck seemed to be taunting and pecking at him. It wasn’t unusual for him to have nights like this and all that’d knew him could agree that no one wanted to be around when he was cranky. Looking back to his prized batman clock, Arcane sighed and rolled out of bed, wincing only a little as his feet touched the cold wooden floor. Cursing as he stepped wrong and twisted his ankle a little. Ignoring the slight pain he wobbled over to the bathroom and flicked on the light. Looking into the mirror he groaned watching as his eyes shifted and adjusted to the brightness.

After a shower the werecat threw on his usual garb of black and white and grabbed his computer bag off the chair that stood erected in front of the old furnished desk. He glanced at the papers that were strewn around. The paper from art class, the thick cardstock had a printed out version of a graphic he’d done and received a b+ on. The wolf manipulation stared up at him and he smiled, the blazing red b+ seemed to burn a hole in his heart. He’d put blood sweat and tears-well not tears- Into it.

Stepping out of the dorm he closed the door and headed through the halls. The morning air was cool and it seemed to be pulling at him. Shrugging at the feeling he pulled his jacket tighter around him and felt the computer bag that hung from his shoulder knock against his waist. The nagging feeling came again and he looked around. “Why am I being so paranoid?” he asked himself. Turning the corner, he found he was coming upon Nyx’s temple. He blushed as a pair of girls stood near the temple kissing. Discreet much? He thought aloud. The girls broke apart and eyed him grudgingly. From the look of their marks, they were blue fledglings.

“What did you say?” one of them asked moving towards him. The other girl pushed him muttering something he couldn’t comprehend. The other shouted at him again something he couldn’t hear. The wind was rushing in his ears and he couldn’t focus. “Stupid cat!” That’s when another girl showed up, a pretty one with blond hair. Arcane looked closer an found that she was the high priestess in training. “Earth COME to me…raise that young man above the skanks…but make sure he doesn’t fall” as she spoke the earth pushed him higher above the girls. “I will not have this at the house of night….i will not have disrespect in the temple of our beloved goddess Nyx and I sure as hell will not have any bullying I forbid it.” she spoke sounding very dominating.

Arcane raised a brow to her power and smiled. She was helping him…protecting him. There was no way he wasn’t befriending her after this. Watching as the girls sped off Arcane felt himself being lowered. “Earth strong and wise I thank you for your assistance… I humbly ask that you return to the way you were before I called for you…afterwards you may depart” Arcane smiled feeling blush crawl up his neck. “Merry meet…I apologies for those two…harlots…are you alright sir.” She spoke again with her hand over her heart. “Merry meet” He replied with a fist over his heart and a small bow. Arcane was new to the vampyre world and when it those in higher ranking than his he was a little rusty. “I am fine thanks to you Priestess.” His eyes fell and he looked over her shoulder and then returned to her. “I don’t know how to thank you.” He blushed even brighter.
