[Night Tenjo]

Night sat on a bench by the carousal on the Navy pier. She had her purse situated across her chest so if anyone tried to grab it they'd have a hell of a time trying to get it off of her between the fighting abilities she hand, the tendency to kick ass and the smart position she had her strap on. "He's late." She said looking at her watch. Shay had called her not but a week after they'd met and asked her for a date, a proper one, like the ones you see at the movies but not a date to the movies.

Night had heard her phone go off and checked it. The caller i.d. said "sexy kitty". She smirked at the i.d. after Shay had put his number in Night wanted to hide his name for the privacy of her imprinted affair with the werecat. But one of the nights she worked recently with Grace, Estelle Josephine's adopted daughter, she got a hold of it and recognized the name in Night's phone. She played with it until the i.d that showed up when he called was "fuzzy kitty". Naturally Night had to change to the more appropriate "sexy kitty". So long as he never sees it. Night thought hoping he would never see what he was labeled as in her phone.

She answered it trying not to laugh at the i.d. "Shay?" She asked.

"Hey, you busy this Saturday night lass?" He asked sounding a little nervous but confident.

"Not that I'm aware of... did you want me to be?" She asked teasingly.

"No... I was actually hoping to take you out... you know on a date... the Navy pier around 8pm?" He asked.

"Sure... but don't be late..." She said with a slight grin and blush on her features.

He was, so far 20 minutes late. She sighed and still sat on the bench waiting for her date. "Did he get lost? He did say the navy pier at 8." She sighed again looking at the couples around her. Was she jealous? A little.

"Make a hole!" Seamus sprinted through the crowd on the sidewalk, one hand pressing down the grey fedora on his head as to not show the yellow crescent moon Mark on his forehead, the other hand clasped around a bouquet of flowers he had bought for Night from a nearby market stall, hoping he wasn't too late for their date which he had arranged.

Shay had been held up back at the House helping Derren with a piece of schoolwork he hadn't been able to do on his own so after doing that Shay quickly gotten changed into some smarter clothes for the date then hastily bought the flowers for Night but he was still 20 minutes late.

After sprinting for what felt like a few miles, the young werecat finally arrived at where he had asked Night to meet him and saw her, looking rather annoyed, sitting on a bench. But still looking rather pretty, he thought to himself before walking quickly over to her and saying, "I am so, so I'm late, lass. I got stuck in the school and..." Knowing how weak of an excuse he was giving, Seamus sighed and offered her the flowers in his hand. "I got you these," he said weakly. "I thought you might like them."

She said there hoping he'd arrive soon. He had set up the date and wasn't there. Probably got held up or something.. She thought trying to be understanding. "...I got stuck at the school" she heard, knew it. Night saw the young werecat headed her way with a small bouquet of flowers. She stood as he arrived holding the flowers out to her while he had a hand on his hat. She lean down to the flowers and a flow of nostalgia hit her. "Mmm, rosa bucbi.... hehe." She hummed placing her hand on Shay's to take the flowers. "Hehe did you pick these specific ones?" She asked with a gentle grin as she enjoyed the aroma. "Because these happen to have a very interesting name." Nights smile was gentle and playful as she breathed in the fruity smell of the fuchsia colored rose. A slight blushed tinting her cheeks. "My favorite rose... carefree beauty."

Night looked up at Shay through the flowers. All was forgiven, tardiness and excuse both. She walked up to him and kissed his cheek. "Thanks for the flowers. They bring back memories.... good memories." She said with a slightly sullen break in the smile before it was back.

Seamus smiled shyly at the question of whether he had chosen the flowers specifically and replied, "Yeah, I did. Before I was Marked, I remember that my mother used to love these types of flowers and would buy a ton of them and put them in various places around the house. The smell wouldn't leave you for days even if you only came in for a few minutes." His smile changed as he spoke from one of shyness to one of warmth and happiness, remembering the few pre-werecat memories that he still had left.

Shay wrapped his arms around Night's waist as she kissed his cheek and tried not to crush the bouquet as he pulled her closer to him and kissed her on the lips. "I'm glad you think the same way of them though," he said. "I was nervous whether or not you would like them but I guess that it's all good, right?" He kissed her again, this time letting it run on for a longer amount of time. The werecat let go of the Red Vampyre and smiled, asking, "So, what do you want to do now? Want to go see a film or do you want to do something a little bit more fun first?"

Night felt flushed and warm by the kisses and the connection about the roses. She didn't think he was serious about the story or rather she was too shocked by it to think it was true until she saw he expressions. Somehow i get the feeling his mate Derren hasn't seen him like this. Night thought taking in the smell of the roses again. "You asked me out so I would assume you had something planned... so what did you have in mind?" She asked blushing and batting her eyelashes slowly. "I'm at your leisure until... well hopefully there won't be an until..." She said teasingly hoping Shay didn't feel offended by her words.

She had never gotten roses like this. In fact she was never asked to an actual date before. Men either groped her and expected something or teased her. But Shay was certainly different, not just because he was a werecat, not just because she had tasted his sweet blood, he actually seemed like a genuine guy, a good man whereas the rest of the world's male population seemed more like overgrown boys.

Sure he was late, had an excuse but brought roses, and seemed as nervous on the outside as she was on the inside. He was most certainly foreign to her and foreign was always a trip worth taking.

Seamus smiled at Night because of her question and replied, "In the short time you've known me, have you ever seen me plan ahead for anything?" He kissed her on the nose playfully and continued. "And anyway, it's not as if we're in a big hurry or anything. We can have all night together if we want to." He kissed her again, properly this time, hoping that Night didn't see him as some big idiot who just wanted to sleep with her.

Linking arms with her, Shay led the Red Vampyre down the pier and towards a nearby cinema, asking, "So, anything you want to see? I was thinking of just going to see something funny and idiotic but if you want to see something a bit more serious, I won't mind." He kissed her on the cheek to prove his point and stopped momentarily outside the theatre to wait for Night's reply, again hoping she wouldn't get a bad impression because of his choice of film. Whilst waiting, Shay almost laughed out loud at someone he saw. It was the Vampyre who had tried to attack Derren back in the club the first time Seamus had met Night, walking straight legged and seemingly unable to even brush his nether regions. The young werecat nudged his date and said to her whilst gesturing towards the Vampyre, "Recognise him?"

"Hmm," Night hummed looking at the movies that were offered before Shay asked if she recognized a certain vampyre. She couldn't help but get angry when she saw him. "Bastard, that was the one that smacked me." She said before noticing the awkward walk he had. "Hehe, bugger got what he deserved now didn't he?" Night smiled looking up at Shay and kissed his cheek. "Next time I'm gonna give a good view of my blades though." She said slightly cruelly with a strong dislike of the guy. Nobody hits me like that and gets away without seeing how I can hit, bastard. She thought before snapping back to her date.

"Idiotic funny works, I'm actually just glad to be out on my own free will compared to Alli picking some guy to push me on. I hate blind dates." She said glad Shay had asked her out. "She tried to set me up again a couple days ago since she doesn't know about us." Night said sullenly as if her energy drained from her at the mere thought of a set up date with some random guy. She sighed trying not to think about the blond match maker of a friend she had.

Seamus felt Night sag slightly on his arm so he pulled her around to his front and wrapped his arms around her waist. He pulled her closer and said, "Surely it can't be that bad? I mean she's just trying to help you out and it can be easily solved by just telling her about us. Can't be that hard, can it?" He kissed her on the cheek then wrapped his arm around her shoulders as they walked towards the cinema. As they were walking, Shay asked Night, "So you ever been on a date like this before, or are you going purely off instincts and movies like I am?"

He laughed nervously, waiting for Night's reply. In all honesty, Seamus hadn't been out with a girl ever. He had tried to ask a few out at various times but all of them had politely declined due to either wanting to remain friends or being in a relationship already (he still couldn't work out that last one, as he had specifically asked other people whether or not the individuals in question were already going out with someone). But now? Now, Shay had finally found someone that was willing to go out with him, and he didn't honestly think he could've made a better decision on his choice of person.

Night enjoyed the embrace and followed Shay. She shook her head when he asked about Alli and it not being so bad to be set up. "It wouldn't be... if she didn't try to do it every other day or more..." She said sighing and trying not to let the very thought of terrible blind dates take all the energy out of her. "I don't usually go to the movies so I can't say im going off of what i've seen." SHe answered. "But it's nice you'd admit that." She leaned closer to Shay resting her head on his shoulder as they walked. "Feel free to pick whatever movie you want its nice just being out with you..." SHe said quietly trying not to sound too weak and flustered.

Night just stayed close within the werecat's arm and near his warm body as he looked over the choices. "I could tell Alli but then she'd but into everything... if she found out about us i don't even want to think about how bad things would get..." SHe said whispering. Hell if Alli found out i was actually dating someone she'd interogate me until she found out and then try to set wedding invites out without a proposal.... Night heaved a big sigh at her own thoughts unaware that she was close enough that even with the imprint being as new and small as it currently was didn't think about the possiblity of Shay hearing and feeling her internal thoughts.

Seamus laughed at Night's reply to his suggestion about her friend until he realised that she hadn't actually said some of it. Thinking of a potentially funny way to reply, Shay thought, Well if it would be that bad, I'll withdraw the suggestion.

He then said out loud, "But, considering the fact you've been able to keep the news about the two of us secret from your friend for that long and not that many people I know know about it, I think we should keep it that way, right? I mean it's not as if we'll stop going out even if someone does find out." The young werecat grinned mischievously at his date and continuing. "And the fact you didn't laugh in my face when I asked you out also bodes well for us in general."

Shay smiled at Night gently, again remembering the failed attempts he had made at trying to ask a girl out, except this time about all of the ones who had been absolute bitches about it. Those are the individuals who had better been forgotten were it not for fact that they stuck with the Fledgling for so long afterwards through the sheer bitchiness of the acts that he always had a good laugh about them with friends on a night out. To get his point across in a better way, Shay kissed the top of Night's head and said to her, "Just so you know, I wouldn't trade this moment for the world."

"Just so you know, I wouldn't trade this moment for the world." She heard Shay talk after he kissed her forehead.

Night couldn't help but laugh a bit at what he said. "As cheesy as that sounds..." She said laughing at Shay before smiling with a small blush on her cheeks. "I couldn't agree more..." Night said expressing herself completely by sealing her words with a kiss to her lovely werecats cheek.

"But I'm afraid if Alli finds out my aunt will find out and hunt me down. She might even turn you in to a werecat rug. She's a bit extreme about men, especially when there is a certain expectation for them. Like with you and any werecat, my aunt would expect nothing more than a protector... not a lover." Night said as they walked up to the ticket master and looked at the movie choices. Battleship, Blood Thirsty Thursday: Night of the Creeps, Chernobyl Diaries, Madagascar 3, Men in Black 3, Prometheus, Snow White and the Huntsmen, That's My Boy, and The Avengers. She read to herself as she waited for Shay to pick. She hadn't watched much tv so she didn't see previews for any of these movies. Letting Shay pick was the better idea for that very reason. "What shall we watch?"

"I say we go to watch the new Men in Black. I remember when I was younger them being funny as all hell so this one should be good." Seamus bought the tickets from the booth then turned back to Night. "Night, if you are worried that much about your aunt finding out about me, then just don't tell anyone. Surely it can't be that hard." He hesitated then, unsure of whether or not to tell his date about his own family, but finally he said, "And at least you still have some contact with your family. I haven't heard from my parents since Zain took me away. Hell, I don't even know if they're still in the country."

Shay felt himself tearing up slightly but quickly rubbed at his eyes to get rid of them before Night saw them. "But still, I'm sure if she met me she'd be very impressed." He smiled cheekily at the Red Vampyre then hugged her, making an attempt to hide the fact that he had been on the verge of tears mere seconds ago. He kissed her on the top of the head again before saying, "So what's your aunt like then? She sounds like a very protective woman already."

"Protective is and understatement that doesn't even begin to describe her. She's a military junky and officer in the French army." Night said leaning close to Shay. "When I came to this country I had to buy a ticket and run away. Alli was leaving with her dad after her parents divorced and Alex was moving away with his dad too. I didn't want to be separated from the only true friends I had so we had asked if i could go with and Maria said no. So i ran away, lived with Alli and her dad until i was emancipated on a technical note and bought my own apartment." She explained as they headed for the theatre. They had gotten there quite early, the seats were mostly empty and the before previews preview commercials were playing on the screen. "And even though i had my own place i mostly stayed with Alli until high school finished. But Alli's dad sort of became my godfather since he took me in." She said sitting in the perfect seats they had gotten. Upper side section, good view of the whole screen while being in the darker part of the theatre. "As much as I'd like to keep what we have to ourselves... i can't see myself hiding it because then it's like I'm hiding something i love as if i were ashamed of it... so i need to weigh the good and bad of hiding or telling." The streak haired girl sighed as the actual movie previews started and more people came in.

Shay squeezed Night's hand at her confession about her aunt and friends. He said to her, "You didn't have to tell me that you know, but it's nice that you did." He shrugged. "And I'm not sure whether to tell people, either. I mean schools aren't exactly friendly places. On one hand it could be seen as something that is quite cool and different, or it could be something that could give people the excuse to bully me. I guess it would be best to take it to the High Priestess but..." He shrugged again and sighed. "I don't know."

Shay squeezed Night's hand again before saying, "If we're confessing stuff, then I may as well." He let out a long, drawn out breath before continuing. "Before, when I was talking about my family, I almost started crying because I haven't seen my parents since I was Marked. I don't know how you'll react to that but..." He shrugged for the third time in what seemed like as many minutes. "I just thought you'd appreciate me being honest." The young werecat gave her a brave smile before kissing Night on the cheek and settling back into his seat to await her reply.

Night blushed slightly, happy to get some weight of her chest and be given the same honesty as she had given to Shay. She leaned closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder as the previews started to end. "I'm happy, Shay." She whispered nuzzling his neck. "And I hope Estelle can help." Night said watching the screen. "With the imprint and our situation." She whispered kissing the scottish werecat's neck. She entangled her fingers with his, holding his hand dearly. She could care less about everything but the two theater seats she and Shay were sitting in. The movie, the cell phones that weren't going to be turned off, the chattering, nothing else mattered at the moment but her werecat. "Hmm, so what's this supposed to be about? I don't watch many movies." She asked under her breath so not to disturb others while others disturbed others without remorse for the chattering, the feet on the seat in front of them or shutting their phones off. Parents weren't even keeping their kids from running around the seats and rows and throwing popcorn. Night tried to tune everything out but Shay and the movie.
