A bright day in the world of this young teenage girl. The dark red curls draped on her shoulders as she smoothly walked through the park on the rocky roads. Her mind wondering off to her past like it did a long while now. It was just something Artemis would forever be attached to. Artemis always thought back of the so called important lessons.
the room was dark, all she saw was a light from a single candle on the table. On the other side of the table a pair of dark eyes on a pale face appeared. ” Artemis, look at the candle, this is your final test. Steal the flame. her grey eyes grew looking at the candle, she saw how they did it and she knew how to do it.
Looking at her father Artemis noticed a small dagger in front of the candle, with the highest speed she could possibly possess Artemis cut of a small bit of the candle top holding it up with her hand and holding out for her father. those thoughts freaked her out sometimes. She shook them off quietly and looked around to see where she was.
She saw trees, lots of trees and a small river. Another flashback hit her head like a slap from someone in her face.
”see this Artemis, nature will be your only guide when lost. Always follow against the stream to see the start.” Artemis sighed and smiled a bit. Walking closer to the river she leaned into see her own reflection and noticed some fish at the bottom. With a chuckle she reached out her hand and they came at it , nipped on it and left feeing sad it was not food.
Artemis smirked and took her hand back looking around to see if there is a road somewhere so she could go back. Walking circles for a moment she noticed a small cyclist road and followed it towards a small square with a fountain and a few benches and happy people. Artemis chuckled lightly as she made her way over there and threw a coin in the fountain.
She always wanted to do something like that. Just a coin into a fountain and make a wish hoping it would come true. Though it was more a wish fountain to couples Artemis figured it should be one for her as well. Her grey as twinkling like little lights she sat down on a bench enjoying to see so many people being happy and still trying to understand what her father had against them.

Jormun looked up at the sky and took in a deep breath as he stood in the middle of the field with a cap on and sunglasses covering his eyes, enjoying the sunlight and the fresh air. He had always enjoyed the weather when it was like this, but with his new host's current life of only coming out at night and sleeping during the day had made it so that he couldn't see the sun nearly as much as he'd used to. But now, Seamus had given him free reign to go out to a park in the city and enjoy the summery outdoors. He had, of course, insisted that the Asgard take a cap and sunglasses to cover his more godly aspects and to keep him from squinting the entire time.
As he stood in the park, the god saw a pair of young children run past with smiles on their faces and a pair of breathless parents trying to keep up with them. Absent mindedly, he smiled, remembering when he had been in that stage with his own daughter a lifetime ago.
Jormun sighed then, suddenly depressed after thinking about Jennifer. When everything had come undone and the Asgard had almost been wiped out, he had ceased looking after her whenever he could due to his disposition as being nothing more than a spirit. He didn't even know if she was still alive, although she was probably alive, given her half-Agard, half-human blood. She could live for thousands of years, if she wasn't killed by some circumstance, which was what Jormun was most worried about.
Pushing the thoughts of Jenn from his head for now, he looked around to see if there was anywhere he could sit and relax for a few minutes. He saw a number of benches but most of them were already fully occupied apart from one, whose lone occupant was a teenage girl who seemed to be just sitting and watching the world go by. Eh, can't do any harm. Jormun wandered over to the girl and the bench and sat down next to her without a word.

Life had been a pain in the ass. For example, she was adopted to survive and not show off but then again she was adopted by a terrible person and that person just couldn’t understand the good things in life. It made her think of the time she was just Jennifer, just a girl who lived happily with her family. Artemis couldn’t think of anything else but anger and sadness.
She wasn’t exactly immortal yet she didn’t grew older than 19 years old. Her grey eyes started at the grass when someone decided to take a shot and sit down next to her. She said nothing though, she didn’t want to say something either, it wasn’t worth it , to make friends and not knowing if they will survive the next day.
Artemis slightly smiled at the thought that this man wouldn’t rest until her life was miserable enough to return , yet she knew that would never happen. This place was the only thing in her life that makes her feel a bit at home, calm and herself.
The red head then decided to look at the boy and get a conversation going.
hey. Having a day off? [/b] she asked softly knowing most teens would be at school at this time of the day.

Jormun turned at the question to look at the girl before he smiled and said, "Something like that, yeah." He held out the arm which his tattoo was plastered all over for the girl to shake before saying, "Name's Seamus, by the way." The Asgard used his host's name instead of his own purely because of how unusual it was. Looking closer at the girl, Jormun started to realise that there was something... Familiar about her. Pushing those thoughts aside for the moment, he asked politely, "So I'm guessing you're in much the same situation. There only seems to be little kids on their summer holiday out here with their parents. Not exactly relaxing by any standards of the word." He smiled at the girl, trying to make himself seem approachable.
The god tried to work out why he felt so familiar around the girl, but couldn't work it out quite yet. Instead, he asked, "So, if you don't mind me asking, what's a Russian doing in the middle of Chicago? I don't generally see them around here so I guess you are a bit of an oddity."

Artemis’s head is still a mess. Her eyes shifted around looking for something familiar from the past. The green grass, the little white flowers and the scent of fresh air. Yet this was such a different air, being around people so much like this just didn’t go quiet this easy. Her attention was drawn to the boy reaching out his hand to shake.
As she shook it she smiled. “ Artemis “ [/b] she spoke with a soft smile on her lips. Her eyes caught the tattoo on his arm, a familiar tattoo to her but the boy just didn’t seem to fit the profile. Leaving the tattoo be, Artemis felt sad but showed nothing on the outside confirming her sadness.
The red head looked at the grass listening to the sound around her. oh I don’t go to school. I’m here temporary , looking for someone I fail to find. [/b] she spoke with a smile though the Russian accent never left her voice.
With a light sounded laugh she shook her head. oh trust me, Chicago has more Russians than people know about. But yes I’m not staying here for long. Just passing through. [/b] she answered and wondered why he was so curious then again she made the conversation.
Pretty awesome tattoo you got there. Who made it? [/b] she would personally rip that person’s head off for even thinking such a tattoo should be made by their hands.

Jormun looked down at the black serpent on his arm then replied, "That is an incredibly long story. Short version is is that my dad had it given to me as a part of a tradition. My brother got a wolf tattoo and my sister... Well, she hates needles." He smirked at the memory, remembering how him, Hel and Fenris had been taken to Odin to get their tattoos that signified their purpose and names. Jormun and Fenris had, of course, gotten a serpent and a wolf respectively, but their sister had been a different story. She hated tattoos and couldn't think of why she should have one, then realised that she couldn't actually think of a tattoo to have either. Knowing which excuse would sound better, Hel had been able to get out of getting a tattoo, and instead got a pendant.
"So," he asked Artemis, "who is it that you're looking for, if you don't mind me asking?" Again, Jormun started to feel a heightened sense of familiarity with the girl, but couldn't quite pin down why he felt it. He tried to go through his memories to see if he could pin down where he might recognise the girl from, but nothing came to mind immediately. This is slightly annoying...

Artemis knew that tattoo she has been searching for it her whole life and now she found it on the wrong being! Artemis said nothing though and just went along in the chit chatter. As he spoke the story was not very interesting though it did sound like her family a long time ago.
Artemis smiled and nodded. Sounds fun. Why did you want a snake? My dad has a tattoo similar like that one so I am a bit surprised to see you walking around with it. Though my eyes sometimes fool me. [/b] she giggled and sat back a bit holding her hand close to her side.
As he asked a question she smiled half. someone very close to my heart. she whispered and with the speed of light she was holding a knife to his throat. seriously dad? You act like you don’t even know me! [/b] she said with a sigh putting the knife back where she got it from, her hands placed in her side.

Jormun widened his eyes at the knife then widened them more when he heard the girl talk. He looked at her incredulously ten replied, "Well, last time I checked, my daughter wasn't Russian." The Asgard smiled at the girl who he had known as Jenn before asking her, "Also, since when have you carried knives with you in public? And why are you called Artemis now?" He sighed then, not wanting to launch himself into an argument with his daughter upon seeing her for the first in so many, many years of not seeing her or even knowing she was alive, so instead he pulled Jertemis into a hug and said to her quietly, "I missed you, Jenn."
He pulled back slightly to look at her more clearly and said to himself mostly, "You've changed a Hel of a lot since I was away, haven't you?" Then he realised that he was in Shay's body still. "Oh, and, uhh, about the whole being in a 17 year-old, that's... Another long story, which is a lot longer than the last one." Jormun smiled at the girl light-heartedly before asking, "So how have things since... Ever." He laughed quietly. "I can't even remember the last time I saw you. That probably isn't a good thing."

Artemis was stupid even thinking she would find her father the way he was when she lost him, it was impossible but THIS wasnt what she expected either. As he spoke she rolled her eyes. its called blending in dad.. I needed a home and yes the last one was in Russia, sadly it was a mobster house so , im screwed. [/b] she sighed and looked at the knife.
She rolled her eyes as she held out the dagger. answer one.. its yours and I carried it with me to return it to you, and answer two, again dad, blending in. When you left that freaky woman wanted to kill everyone related to you, thor and the other guy. She succeeded most of them, but she failed on me since she was and still is look for Jennifer and not a pathetic human called Artemis. [/b]
She looked at the boy her father was possessing and felt kind of sorry for the guy, he wasn’t really hot and that’s just because Artemis likes blondes, but she also couldn’t picture a father in him either. She nodded at his next question and smiled. [] I got mom’s looks. [/b] she answered it with a short sentence since there wasn’t many other words to be spent at.
Artemis still observed his new body and chuckled. ah well he isn’t my type anyways, beside im turning twenty in a month… physically. Thanks to your blood once in a couple of years I start to age, I don’t mind but its hard to say its my birthday soon. [/b] she said softly and leaned against a tree.
Closing her eyes she just nodded and listened. last time you saw me was when I was just a toddler. I thought the curls would do its trick, seems like that failed too. And I cant blame you for not remembering that… though I never forgot. [/b] she sighed and looked down. She couldn’t hug the man back, because he is no man to her, just a boy now. A boy with her dad’s eyes and his voice.

Jormun said, "May I?" And took the knife gently from his daughter. He balanced it on one finger, watching as it wobbled then stayed perfectly still on its balance point. "Well, it's definitely a good knife." He looked at the insignia on the bottom of the hilt and smiled. "Did your mother give this to you?" The Asgard looked at the knife some more then said to his daughter, "You keep it. I gave it to Enja to keep and give to you when you were old enough, so it belongs to you now." He handed the knife back to Artemis before saying, "I guess it was for the best that you became Artemis, then. That crazy bitch has been trying to kill me and everyone I know since Athens. Have you had any encounters with her yet or...?"
He smiled when she mentioned her mother then said, "That's probably for the best then. Not only would it be rather weird for a host to be going out with the daughter of the thing possessing him but Seamus here already has a girlfriend who has a rather large love affair with knives." Jormun smirked, remembering how Night had near killed Seamus on their first time meeting each other, which also put the Asgard inside him in danger.
He sighed at the reminder then said, "Hel, you were a toddler? Damn..." He pulled his cap off then ran his hand through his hair then paused for a few seconds in thought before saying, "Listen, I'm sorry I wasn't around more when you were gorwing up, or at all for that matter. After everything started falling apart in Asgard, I pretty much couldn't do anything family-wise." He looked back up at Artemis. "I know that isn't a good enough excuse but... I dunno."
